GOD’S MATHEMATICS

Hello, everyone!  May the grace of God be yours in every way!

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Is. 55:8-9)

God does not think like we do or do things the way we do.  He has His own ways of operating, which is always for our good and righteousness.  This is why fallen man cannot understand Him and His workings: because man, at his core, always considers how things will benefit himself, while God does things righteously—for the good and benefit of man.  When a person seeks something he thinks will be good for himself, and it does not come to pass, this person often feels let down, rejected, and/or neglected by God.  How often have we not received what we prayed for, only to later (sometimes much later) see our prayer answered in a much better way than what we initially desired?

God has His ways which are higher than ours.  He also has His mathematics which far surpasses man’s feeble and, ultimately, futile “figurings”.  Before we look at His math, and its one simple formula, let’s pray:

“Heavenly Father God, we are so blessed that You created us for Yourself—Your Kingdom and Your glory.  We enter into Your classroom now to learn Your mathematics and understand Your Heavenly formula, which leads us to eternal life in Jesus.  Amen.”

Man prides himself on his ability to figure things out and make things work the way he wants them to work.  One of his mantras is, “Anything is possible if you believe.”  Believe in what?  Believe in yourself and “science”?  But, science is simply a religion that has its own priesthood and is greatly devoid of God, because through his science, man seeks to be his own god. (This is not to say that science is bad, for in its purest form, it should seek to do God’s will and glorify Him alone.  Yet, without God, man’s science is only a pretext for rebellion against Him.)  But whatever man “figures” and creates according to his own mathematics is always doomed to hurt him in the long run.  [Atom bomb, anyone?  A new and better vaccine?  Climate controls?]

Let’s look at man’s science for a moment.  (The following is taken from the online Britannica encyclopedia.)

Physics is man’s science/discipline that deals with the structure of matter and the interactions between the fundamental constituents of the observable universe.  (My comment:  note that man is limited in his math and physics to “the observable universe”, thus he cannot penetrate the spiritual realm with his mathematics.  Thus, his math cannot yield the truth.)

“In the broadest sense, physics (from the Greek physikos) is concerned with all aspects of nature on both the macroscopic and submicroscopic levels. . .Its ultimate objective is the formulation of a few comprehensive principles that bring together and explain all such disparate (dissimilar) phenomena.

“Physics is the basic physical science. . .the science whose aim is the discovery and formulation of the fundamental laws of nature. (My comment:  again, we see that physics is limited to the physical realm around us—which “nature” is fallen and not the truth of God’s spiritual reality.)

“The ultimate aim of physics is to find a unified set of laws governing matter, motion, and energy at small (microscopic) subatomic distances, at the human (macroscopic) scale of everyday life, and out to the largest distances (e.g., those on the extragalactic scale).  (But) a completely unified theory of physical phenomena has not yet been achieved, and possibly never will be. (My comment, the “unified set of laws” means that scientists are looking for the one law that governs all things, so that they can manipulate this “one law” for the godship it might grant them.  But, they labor in vain, for the elusive unified law already exists—in Jesus, who is God’s law of love personified.  But this unified one law of everything that the physicist, Stephen Hawking, pursued all his life, cannot be found in nature because it only exists in God, the Creator who created, not through human numbers and science, but through His spoken Word—speaking us and all creation into existence.)

“”Physics can, at base, be defined as the science of matter, motion, and energy.  Its laws are typically expressed with economy and precision in the language of mathematics.” (Unquote Britannica article)

Thus, man uses mathematics to tell us what is true of physical nature and to create his follies using numbers.  His math is essentially:

Man’s formula: 1 + 1 = 2

It makes sense, right?  If you have one of something and add something else to it, then you have two things.  I mean, what else is there to life in this world?  1 + 1 = 2, and that’s the truth (Isn’t it?).  All other formulas of physics and mathematics are just a variation of 1 + 1 = 2.

But, in God’s Kingdom, 1 + 1 = 2 is not the truth.  In God’s Kingdom, in Heaven and on the earth, truth is expressed by His formula:

God’s formula: 1 + 1 = 1

This is God’s mathematics—the way He orders His creation—and for the remainder of my article, we will consider the truth of God’s formula.

(Man is) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Tim. 3:7)

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

In God’s mathematics, it is most important to understand that the first 1 is Jesus and the second 1 is you.  Keep this in mind as we journey through this article and consider a few Scriptures that highlight and confirm God’s math.

First, let’s look at Jeremiah 50:5, which early on hints at God’s formula:

They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.

Note the three components that reveal God’s formula of 1 + 1 = 1:

  1. Us
  2. The Lord
  3. The perpetual covenant

As we (the first 1) join ourselves to the Lord (the second 1), a single covenant (the third 1) is formed that is eternal.  Now, if one million people did this, or a whole nation did so, it would still equal just one covenant—not a million different covenants.  To understand the rest of this article, this is an important concept to grasp here at the beginning. (Because the covenant is, in reality, a Person, I could rightly say that Jesus, Himself, IS the covenant we join ourselves to, but this may be too confusing or esoteric

for some.  So, we’ll just keep it simple for now and think of the covenant in terms of a mutual agreement between men and God.)

The Father is in me, and I in him. (John 10:38)

I and my Father are one. (John 10:30)

To lay a proper foundation in comprehending how God’s formula of 1 + 1 = 1 works, we need to progress a bit slowly before we pick up speed.  In the two verses above, note that the requirement for unity/oneness (the third 1) begins with the two parties to this unified covenant being inside one another.  This is wonderfully illustrated by 1 John 5:8—

And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

This illustrates the principle that, to be the “third 1” of God’s formula, the Godhead, Itself, is in perfect agreement between the three of Them.  Thus, They are One God.  And, They are One God because They are habitually within one another. (I dearly hope this is somewhat clear to your understanding.  If not, I must admit I do not fully understand it myself by my human reckoning; I just know that, in God’s Kingdom, 1 (Jesus) + 1 (you) = 1 (one spirit, which we’ll get into a little later.)

[Note:  some may have picked up on the fact that 1 John 5:8, above, actually shows a formula of:  1 + 1 + 1 = 1—the three Persons of the Trinity equal one God.  But this does not indicate a flaw in the basic formula.  To illustrate, say I myself (the second 1) and my Christian neighbor (the third 1) are both in union (the fourth 1) with Jesus (the first 1).  This confirms God’s math, no matter how many ones come before the = sign.]

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. . .

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. (John 17:11, 21)

Here, again, we see that to be one with one another and with God, we must be in God.  It also hints that to be one with each other, we must be in the Spirit of God with one another.  This is a perfect covenantal agreement.  This does not mean we all agree with one another’s carnal viewpoints; it means that each one agrees perfectly with Father God in all things.  Imagine: living in this world with others who are in perfect union with God!  Jesus prayed for this, and it will happen.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.  This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. (Eph. 5:31-32)

Again we see God’s math/formula (Perhaps it may be surprising that His formula is spoken of in so many places!):  “they two (1 + 1) = one flesh (1)”.  In this case, Jesus is the first 1 and His true bride is the second 1.  Together, they equal “one flesh” (or spirit—see 1 Cor. 6:16-17, page 6, below).  But this bride is only those who are broken of their flesh of disunity, crucified with Christ, and are risen with Him unto complete agreement with God.  This is a mystery—something hidden by God until He fully reveals it.  I don’t fully understand it yet myself and Paul did not fully understand it, either.  But I give you what I do know by God’s Spirit, which is His formula.

Note that, to come into this union of oneness with Jesus, we must leave our father and mother, who together represent the world and our immaturity in Christ.  In other words, to come into union with Jesus, we must forsake and leave the world behind.

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. (1 Cor. 12:12)

For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. (1 Cor. 10:17)

Yet again, we see God’s formula here, only expressed in a different and extended way:  1 + 1 + 1 +1 + 1 + 1, etc., etc. = 1.  The many members in the Body who are in covenant agreement with God, when all added together, still = 1—one body and one loaf of bread, which is Jesus, God’s manna.

[Isn’t it wonderful that we don’t have to be rocket scientists to understand God’s true math?  By all their numbers on all their blackboards, the secular scientists and mathematicians come no closer to the truth that 1 + 1 = 1.  Behold, all scientists and physicists: God didn’t create through numbers; He simply spoke creation into being!  Listen, you researchers and professors who consider yourselves educated and intelligent; listen to Genesis 1:3—

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

God spoke light into existence!  He didn’t experiment with numbers until He got it right; He just spoke into existence His sons and daughters, the earth, Eden, and animals and plants!  Can man’s numbers and formulas find God?  Can they dethrone Him? (But they will keep trying to!)  Numbers cannot penetrate the spiritual realm.]

So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. (Ro. 12:5)

As said before, no matter how many 1’s are added together, no matter how many people who are in a love-covenant with Jesus, all these together add up to “one body in Christ” and “every one are members of one another”.  This is a union that is so complete, so perfect, that it is almost impossible to conceptualize it, let alone try to describe it.  All the members are completely unique expressions of Jesus, yet they all add up to being one complete and perfect and singular expression of Him (There! I tried to describe it!).  This is the Kingdom of Heaven—this is what it is like in Heaven:  unique individuals, one a hand, one a foot, etc.—all, when taken together, express the singular Jesus—the new creation man.  Oh, Father!  Thy Kingdom come: on earth as it is in Heaven!

What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.  But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. (1 Cor. 6:16-17)

When we (the first 1) are joined to the Lord Jesus (the second 1), we, together, become the third 1—one spirit.  Therefore, there is no one who can truthfully say they have no value to God, or even doubt it.  To do so is to disbelieve Jesus and to deny the truth.

And now we come to the final proof of God’s mathematics, that in His Kingdom 1 + 1 = 1.  Let’s look at it this way:  if a raindrop falls into a lake, where is that drop now?  Can it be separated and distinguished from the lake itself?  No, it has become one with the lake, and the lake one with the raindrop.  They are no longer two, but one with each other—one body of water.  In this way, the tiny drop is now no less important or insignificant than the lake itself.  In fact, the lake needed the raindrop, and the raindrop needed the lake.  They complete one another.  They are now a body of water together.  By this analogy, can we see how valued we are by Jesus and how He needs us? (see 1 Cor. 12:21)

Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?  But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. (Luke 12:6-7)

What it Means to be One with Jesus

To be one with Jesus means to be in perfect union with Him, the same union that He has with our Heavenly Father (Jn. 10:30).  To have a clearer grasp on what it means to be one with Jesus, I’ll break down a few Scriptures into two distinct sections that further define this oneness by 1.) being of one mind with Jesus, and 2.) doing God’s will.

First, let’s look at some Scriptures that illustrate our unity with Jesus by being of a singular mind with Him and with those who are in Him.  Understand, when these verses speak of “mind”, this encompasses all the internal faculties of our soul’s mind and spirit’s mind.  Thus, the mind that Paul and Peter speak of is more a spiritual thing than a physical thing.  Hang in there—this will become clearer as we progress.

Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (Phil. 2:2)

Right away, we can see that being of one mind does not mean “thinking the same” as everyone else.  It is a much deeper thing than thinking; it means here being of one accord and one love.  Paul is exhorting us, basically, to be in Christ, not in ourselves where each one’s individual carnality (lusts) would cause discord.  So, the first thing we learn about what it means to be one with Jesus is that we are to abide (live) in Him, not in ourselves.

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous. (1 Peter 3:8)

Now Peter takes Paul’s admonition, above, a slight step further.  Peter defines being of one mind as having compassion, love, pity, and courtesy towards each other.  Again, these are internal, spiritual things that define what being of one mind encompass.  And, by loving one another, we are one with Jesus as we love with His love.

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. (2 Cor. 13:11)

Again we see a further clarification of what being of one mind with Jesus and one another means.  Incidentally, to be perfect does not mean being free of mistakes; it means to remain in Jesus and to seek and do God’s will at all times.  This is unity with Jesus.

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he

longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. (1 Peter 4:1-2)

Peter is exhorting us, not to try to do the impossible, but to do what is perfectly possible:  to have the same mind, heart, and spirit that was in Jesus—that of love and doing God’s will.  But the irony here is that the majority of Christians really don’t want to step out of their flesh and make the sacrifices of loving others and doing God’s will.  To do these requires crucifixion and death with Christ—not things willingly sought out.

I hope this gives us some initial idea what being of one mind, thus being one with Jesus, means.  Now, we’ll look at the second clarification of what it means to be one with Jesus:  doing God’s will.

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. (John 5:19)

If Jesus had no power to do anything by Himself, then to be one with Him, we must enter into Him and share this “weakness” with Him.  But this weakness is our strength, for as we submit to Father God then all things are possible unto us, because all power and possibility reside in God.  It is a simple matter:  look and see what God wills at any particular moment, and then do likewise.  If you don’t see, then don’t do.

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (John 5:30)

Further clarification here of what it means to do God’s will, thus to be in union with Jesus.  Here, Jesus speaks of union/oneness through seeking the Father’s will regarding judgment (clarifying light on a subject that leads to making the right decision according to God’s will).

I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. (John 8:28)

Whereas in the previous verses, Jesus clarifies what union means through doing God’s will, in this verse He says that union/oneness with Him includes speaking God’s will.  So, to be one with Jesus, we must strive to speak only those words we hear from Him.  Admittedly, this is difficult, but not impossible.  Aside from Jesus Who lived this out, there is precedence for this mark of unity with God in the Old Testament.  It is written of Samuel in 1 Sam. 3:19 that “(he) did not let one of his words fall to the

ground.”  It can be done by those who are willing to pay the cost for this aspect of oneness with Jesus.

Doing God’s will and speaking God’s will are the two great hallmarks of oneness with Jesus.  There are other marks of this unity with Jesus I have not mentioned, but they all boil down to these two which fulfill the formula of God’s mathematics of 1 + 1 = 1.

Amen.

Now, to move on to different subjects, I’ll first present to you a Word received by Richard-DANIYEL Sydor on 12/10/22.

(Quote) HOW I AM WORKING WITH YOU AND YOURS IS THE WAY AND WHAT I AM DOING WITH MY OWN GIVEN TO ME BY YAHUAH (Father God).  ALL OF YOU ARE HIDDEN AND I WORK WITH YOU AS IN MATTHEW 11:28-30. . .

I AM YOUR “TIME” FIGURATIVELY.  THERE IS NO TIME TO WASTE THAT IS IN THIS WORLD.

ALL DISTRACTIONS OF THE WORLD DETRACT FROM YOU RECEIVING MY RHEMA AND THE FATHER’S DIRECT, PERSONAL LOGOS.

NOW IS THE TIME TO SEEK ME FOR READYING FOR MY COMING TO YOU AND, ULTIMATELY, FOR MY RETURN (AT THE END).

THE CHANGES YOU HAVE SEEN AND NOW ARE HAPPENING IS FROM MY WORDS, RHEMA OF DECEMBER AND JANUARY.

AS MY SHEEP RESPOND TO MY CALL AND STIRRING AND TAKE OBEDIENT ACTION, FAITH IS IMPARTED.

AND NOW, THAT FAITH IS CHANGING MY OWN.

FOR THEM, OUT OF THEIR SELFLESS OBEDIENCE COME THE FOLLOWING—

TO MY OWN, NOTHING MATTERS ANYMORE BUT ME.  (My comment:  Can we hear this?  Nothing matters any longer but Jesus.)

THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN THAT WHICH FREES THEM FROM THE PRISON HOUSE EARTH, THE WORLD, SATAN’S KINGDOM.

FAITH AND THE ENABLEMENT NOW IS, AND IS COMING FOR MY OWN TO LIVE WITH THE EXPECTANCY TO PERSONALLY EXPERIENCE MY MANIFESTATION TO THEM.

THIS ONLY HAPPENS TO AND FOR THE OBEDIENT, NOW IN THEIR LIVES.

THIS COMING BRINGS A NEW HEART OF AGAPE, FULL ENTRY INTO COVENANT RELATIONSHIP

THE “FAITH OF” FAITH LEADS TO THIS, BUT AT THE COMING AND MANIFESTATION IT IS EXPERIENTIALLY KNOWN AND LIVED.

LOOK ONLY TO ME, THE AUTHOR AND COMPLETER OF YOUR FAITH.

RUN THE RACE WITH OUR MEETING AT THE FINISH LINE.  DO NO BE DISTRACTED OR DISCOURAGED.

THE ADVERSARY DOES NOT WANT MY OWN TO FINISH, BUT ALL THESE ARE BEING KEPT AND GUARDED BY ME IN THE NAME OF YAHUAH.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS OK OR WILL BE EASY, BUT KNOW THAT IN ME YOU ARE.

THERE IS A DEPTH THAT EACH WILL HEAR DIRECTLY FROM ME.  BE ENCOURAGED.

REMEMBER, YOU ARE FOLLOWING ME, MY EXAMPLE.

DOING THIS, CARRYING YOUR CROSS AND OBEDIENTLY FOLLOWING ME, AS IN MATTHEW 7:13-14, LEADS TO YOUR LAYING DOWN YOUR LIFE FOR ME AS I LAID DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU.  ONLY, YOU WILL NOT DIE PHYSICALLY.  “ADAM” DIES AND LEAVES THE STONEY THRONE OF THE HIDDEN HEART.

WHEN I COME WITH AGAPE, YOU WILL RISE INTO A NEW LIFE WITH ME.

ALL THIS HAPPENS BY ME AND AT MY TIMING FOR EACH PERSONALLY.

THE CHURCH SYSTEM OF MAN REJECTS THIS PERSONAL WALK AND ENCOUNTER WITH ME.

THOSE OF MINE, SO CALLED IN THEIR OBEDIENCE, KNOW THIS AND WILL KNOW THIS.

IT MATTERS NOT TO MY SHEEP WHO ARE FOLLOWING THEIR TRUE SHEPHERD AND NOT THE FALSE ONES WHO HAVE COME ANOTHER WAY.

ABIDE IN ME—

(Unquote R-D and Jesus)

As Jesus’ teacher to the Body of Christ, there are many comments I might have made on this Word.  But, except for the one comment, I let it stand on its own.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

There is a nationally well-known pastor who has been sending out newsletters every three weeks for many years.  In his latest letter (12/9/22), in a sidebar he wrote this note:

(Quote) I personally invite you to join us February 15-17 in San Diego for the Fire in Our Bones conference for pastors and leaders.  We are asking God to revive churches in order to awaken our nation.  Join (here he mentions six leaders) as we preach God’s Word to stir pastors toward an uncompromising message that will spark renewed life in his people.  We believe this time together will make a difference

for our nation.  If you aren’t a pastor, you may play a major role in our nation’s awakening by encouraging your pastor to attend.  You can also pray for every leader who attends and for God’s Word to land on open, hungry hearts. (Unquote)

Such as it is, there is nothing wrong with this.  The problem is that the conference is out of step with what God is doing.  The “letter” of God’s Word might stir some pastors toward an uncompromising message, but a message cannot spark renewed life in His people.  It never could, for only God can “spark” the flame of the renewed life of Jesus in His people.

As we (Richard-DANIYEL, myself, and others) have prophesied in this Sheep Gate Letter, “NOW, ONLY JESUS.”  Nothing else but Jesus will be able to oppose and combat the rising tide of evil now coming forth.  Not a return to the Bible and its moral commands; not a return to church attendance; not more programs or good works.  Now, only Jesus Himself is the one and only spark of life the Church must accept and embrace.

“God’s Word”, in the form of the written Bible WILL NOT BE ENOUGH, no matter how open and hungry hearts are.  God’s Word, in the form of Jesus Himself, is now the only thing that will gain the victory, renew true life, and bring in a righteous light that will dispel the gross evil sweeping the world.

Pastors and leaders, you who willing to listen—hear this:  you must be awakened to Jesus and His preeminence (1 Pet. 4:17)!  Awaken!  Awaken, pastors and leaders!  Awaken to Jesus.  Let Him now be the Fire in Your Bones!  Admonish the people, teach, and preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified in your gatherings, your conferences.  Nothing else will now work or be adequate to save the nation.  Do you hear this?  This is the Word of God unto you, to stir you in the spark of renewal.  By heeding this Word, you will then be adequately equipped with God’s uncompromising message, not your own.  And this Message will be the Living Word of Rhema that will breathe out the creative, renewing, force of God’s Spirit that will have results.  Nothing else is adequate or sufficient for the times of God’s judgment we have entered.

NOW, ONLY JESUS!

Getting high on your conferences’ wine is self-serving and doomed to failure because of the time we are now in.  It will only serve to set the Church back into the “same ol’, same ol’ that was largely responsible for the state in which we now find ourselves and the Church.

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. (Jer. 2:13)

Pastors and leaders!  The problem is not a lack of attention to God’s written Word.  Hear this!  The problem is that you and God’s people, the sheep you tend, have forsaken the living Jesus and exclusively embraced the Logos (do you understand this?) and weekly church attendance, while giving Jesus only lip service and not preeminently embracing Him.  Him!  And, in this way, and by your traditions, you have carved out hearts that are broken, leaky, and cannot hold Him.  Repent of this, pastors and leaders, before it is too late.  And there will come a time when it is too late.

Amen.

Two notices:

First, by the Lord Jesus’ will, I am now in the process of writing to all the pastors of all the churches in Spokane, Washington.  There are 176 churches in Spokane, a city of 230,000 people.  So this is no small task.  To date, I’ve almost completed doing all the mail labels necessary.

Jesus has not yet given me a date to send the letters, but I will update you in future Sheep Gate Letters, both as to the content of the pastors’ letters, mailing date, costs, etc.

Second, my book, From Glory to Glory, is now available on Amazon, both as a paperback book and a Kindle book.  Some of you purchased my first edition of this book, but this book has been professionally edited and 54 typos have been corrected.  This new publication has been graciously and totally funded by a man on our mail list and costs $15.99 for the paperback version, and $3.99 for the Kindle version (for which you would need an e-reader).  Just go online to Amazon and in the “Books” category, type in:  From Glory to Glory.  A number of other books also have this title, so scroll down to mine, under the authorship “Jim-Rephael Grandon”.
